In this privacy notice we will refer to Reelhop Technologies Limited as “we”, “us” or “our” and to you, the user of our service as “you” or “your”
At reelhop we know that trust is important and that You trust us with your personal information, which we take very seriously. Personal data is defined as any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, also constitute personal data. This privacy notice is designed to inform you about how we collect personal information about you and how we use that personal information. You should read this privacy notice carefully so that you know and can understand why and how we use the personal information we collect about you. Specifically, this privacy notice sets out:

1. The type of personal information we collect
There are three main categories of personal information which we collect:
· Information which has been provided by you.
· Information we get when you use our services.
· Information we get from third parties.
2. Information Provided by You
When you engage and use our services there is information which we collect directly from you.
For example, when you create an account you provide us with your email address, user name and password for accessing the service.
In addition, when using our service you will provide certain additional information such as photographs and video (including sound). You may also provide us additional information when completing your user profile which could include a profile photo of you or some other photo or Avatar and your mobile phone number.
If you contact Customer support or communicate with us in any other way you may provide additional personal information that you volunteer or that we require in order to resolve your enquiry.
As a new business we love to get your views on our Service and if you participate in any focus groups, feedback sessions, surveys or market studies you may volunteer additional personal information as well as your views on our service, answers to our questions and testimonials.
2.1 Information we receive when you use our service
When you use our services we collect information about how you use our services, which features you have used and how and when you accessed our Services. Specifically, we receive the following types of information:
2.1a Usage information. When you use our services it generates information about your activity and interaction with our services, this includes when you logged in, how long you remained on our Service, whether you started or joined a reelhop, the name of the reelhop you created, content you viewed or reacted to, other users you were in a reelhop with and whether you reviewed information we may have displayed to you.
2.1b Content Information. Any content you create, such as photos and videos (including audio), is collected including any metadata that is provided with the content. We also collect information on how other users engaged with that content, such as if and when they reviewed it, how often they viewed it and if they reacted to it.
2.1c Device information. We collect information on how you access our services, including information from and about the devices you use when accessing our services. This includes hardware and software information such as IP address, service provider, device model and ID, operating system and version, browser type, language, time zone and keyboards installed, advertising I’D’s and other identifiers associated with cookies that may uniquely identify a device and or browser.
2.2 Information collected by Cookies and similar data collection technologies
Like many mobile app services and websites we may use cookies and other similar technologies such as web beacons, SDKs and pixels, to collect information about your activity, browser and device. To provide You with a more personal and improved experience, we may use both session cookies (these expire once you close down your browser or App) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device till you delete them).
3. How we use this Information and why we need it
We use your personal information for the following reasons:
· To be able to provide our services to you - this includes opening an account, communicating with you about our Service via email, responding to You contacting us about our Services or requesting help.
· To improve and develop the current Services we offer to You including better personalisation and to help us develop new Services or features – This includes monitoring the trends the usage of our services, gathering feedback via surveys, focus groups and directly from users.
· To monitor, identify, report and address any suspected or actual activity which is unauthorised, illegal or in breach of our Terms of Use and other usage policies. This may include gathering and retaining information of evidence of misuse.
4. The lawful basis on which we process this data
All companies need to be able to justify why they are required to process and retain your personal information. The table below demonstrates the legal basis on which we process your information.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time this right only exists where we are relying on Consent as our lawful basis to process your personal information. Should you wish to withdraw your consent to reelhop accessing your camera, microphone or camera roll this can be achieved via the settings section in your phone’s menu. Should you remove this consent then some or all of the features of the App may no longer operate effectively and your enjoyment of the app may be diminished.
5. Who we share this information with
5.1 With other Users – Your username, profile picture or avatar and the content you created and added to the platform will be shared with the users on the platform who you joined or invited into a reelhop.
5.2 With our business and service partners – We may use third parties to help us operate and improve our services. These business partners may perform activities such as data hosting, system maintenance, system and platform security, analytics, customer care or marketing. We may also engage third parties to assist us in detecting, investigating, preventing and enforcing potential or actual breaches to our Terms of use.
5.3 With enforcement agencies – We may disclose your information to comply with any valid legal or regulatory request or requirement.
5.4 Non personal Information – We may use and share non personal information (information which can not be used to identify you personally), aggregated data or de-identified data with third parties who provide business services to us.
6. How we retain your information
6.1 Account data retention. We retain your information only for as long as it is necessary for us to carry out our legitimate business purposes and as permitted in law. In general, this means that we retain all the personal information associated with an account while it is open and for two years after the account has been closed and we have had no further contact from yourself or any representative. We retain personal information for two years after an account is closed in case of any disputes, investigations or inquiries by you or another party. Once this period has elapsed all personal data is deleted other than a small amount required to evidence that you once had an account with Us and that the account is now closed.
However, there are exceptions as listed below where personal information is held for different time period.
6.2 Complaints or disputes - Where an account has or has had a complaint, dispute, investigation, regulatory or legal request associated with it then the personal information associated with that account will be retained for 6 years from the point at which the matter has been settled or resolved or until such time as we have been legally instructed or advised to retain the information.
6.3 Banned Accounts - Where the account has been closed and the user has been banned from holding an account, we will retain the personal information of that user for as long as is necessary to prevent the banned user from re-joining the platform to ensure the safety and protection of our users and our business.
6.4 Shared Content - One of the core features of reelhop is that all the content from all the participants in the reelhop is added to a single reel feed and gallery for all the users to enjoy. Therefore, each participant in a reelhop will have a gallery for every reelhop they have participated in. Should your account be closed and your galleries deleted from your account, the content from the gallery may still exist in other users’ galleries and accounts.
7. Control over your personal information and your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

8. Data processing location
Reelhop is a UK based company and in accordance with our terms of use you should only open a reelhop account if you are a resident of the UK. Reelhop will store and process your data in the UK and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the UK, which may be different to those in your home country if you are not a resident of the UK. In addition, reelhop may transfer, store and process your data outside of the UK. If we do so, we will transfer, store and process your data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of that country and use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the level of protection to users is commensurate with those which exist in the UK.
